Rivay
Harris Tweed Wool CPO Shirt Jacket in Navy
Editor’s Notes:
First introduced in the 1930’s, the U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer woolen jacket was designed to keep servicemen dry and warm during foul weather. A heavy wool kept sailors protected while the shirt design cut back on bulk and allowed for movement during deck maneuvers.
Rivay’s modern design features lining throughout the interior collar band, interior cuffs and knuckle side of the side-entry pockets with moleskin from legendary English mill, Brisbane Moss. The interior sleeves are also lined with a durable, comfortable and quiet sleeve lining from Italy. No detail was overlooked on this refined update to the military classic.
In 2015, the husband-and-wife founders of Rivay set out to create casual clothing that is as practical as it is polished. Today, their sophisticated takes on classic military and workwear styles are crafted with an enduring emphasis on fit, fabric, and construction.
The Harris Tweed CPO Shirt Jacket is a classic fit, we recommend taking your normal size for layering. If you prefer a more tailored fit, we recommend sizing down.
