Mark Cross
Eleanor 55 in Suede Honey
Editor’s Notes:
The Eleanor 55 is Mark Cross’ classic tote, supersized. The third straps feature Mark Cross’ signature collar studs and can be used to secure the opening or as a third handle to accentuate the slouchy silhouette. Soft calfskin suede is unlined to keep the bag lightweight, and is protected with a waxed water repellent.
Mark Cross was established in Boston in 1845 by Henry W. Cross to create the finest leather goods for the horse and buggy rider, expanding to include luggage and accessories by 1934. The brand was re-established in 2011 and now produces pieces in the same Italian ateliers as the celebrated originals. The current collections are inspired by the extensive Mark Cross archives, a dedication to fine craftsmanship and excellent leathers, devoid of excess hardware and logos.
