The Piatti del Buon Ricordo (translation: Happy Memories Dishes) is an Italian historical tradition that dates back to the 1960’s. These plates are limited-edition keepsakes of the restaurant experience considered collectors’ items and continue to be sought after today.
The plates illustrate the restaurant’s specialty in the center with the name and place on the rim. Always hand-made and hand-painted, these plates reflect memories of an exceptional dining experience and are an interior design gem. Today, collectors worldwide seek the most iconic Piatti del Buon Ricordo for its unique, fun touch and authentic Italian tradition.
For Il Buco’s 30th anniversary, Il Buco created their Piatti del Buon Ricordo collection, featuring their signature dishes and specials. The anniversary plates are Antonello Radi’s interpretation of the restaurant’s common themes, including the pig, sardines, scallops, radishes, and the famed storefront.
Created by Donna Lennard, the woman behind New York’s acclaimed il Buco restaurants, Il Buco Vita celebrates traditional Italian craftsmanship with its artisanally designed objects for the tabletop and home.
