Savon de Marseille is one of the most popular exports from southwestern France, and we don’t foresee that changing any time soon. A quick history lesson: olive oil has been used as a cleanser for centuries; the ancient Greeks used the emollient as the first form of soap. In the sixth century, the first olive-oil-based soap factory was established in Marseille. Each bar of Christophe Pourny True Marseille Soap carries on this tradition and contains a high olive-oil content that moisturizes skin as it cleanses.
Luxurious essential oils are blended into each bar, filling any room with punchy citrus, soothing green tea, fresh apricot, or nourishing, yet bitter, olive-oil essence.
