Alma Bath Towel
Precale Winter White Duvet Cover
Peruvian Rug No. 7

Autumn Sonata

The well-made towels and oversize bath mats from Autumn Sonata (my favorite is the katazome-inspired and well-named Alma) draw their designs from founder Lilli Elias’s background as a textile archivist as well as from the long history of beauty as a by-product of human use.

Tekla & Malaika Linens

You know how they say that every seven years all the cells in your body turn over, and that you technically become, at least in composition, a whole new person? This is how I feel about my bed. It didn’t happen all at once, but somehow all the wrinkled linen and homespun indigo blankets, all of the Zen bedding that defined my first attempt at adulthood, have given way to crisp cotton. It’s like sleeping in a hand-me-down button-down shirt, except it’s the whole bed. I’ve been super-happy with how Tekla’s percale cotton sheets wear, and have my eye on these zigzag-edge pillowcases from my friend Goya Gallagher and her co-founder Margarita Andrade’s line, Malaika Linens, which are made in Cairo from Egyptian cotton.

Lands Down Under

This is a very good recommendation via interior designer Alison Damonte, which she sent over in two seconds flat as we happened to be talking about other things, which is how you know she is a professional. Mohair throws in colors both exuberant and subdued, which, as Damonte says, “don’t shed” all over you.

Kneeland Co. Rarities

I happen to collect rugs that have words on them, and am loving this 1970s Peruvian wool rug selected by the brilliant eye of Joanna Williams, of Kneeland Co. Rarities, that has not only letters across the top—I have no idea what it says, maybe the Romanization of a word not meant to be written in English letters—and an alien in the middle! The total dream.

Svenskt Tenn

Tiwa Select recently hosted a dinner with the Swedish fabric-and-furniture company Svenskt Tenn at our gallery, and they draped the walls in exuberant Josef Frank–designed fabrics. I love the whimsy of his designs—you spot new shapes and colors in the fabric each time you look.

Magniberg x Jonathan Saunders

Back when he was primarily making clothes, I always loved Jonny’s use of color. His partnership with Magniberg bed linens is no different. I have the Blue Peony bed covers. The lapis blue looks almost fluorescent, which doesn’t sound that relaxing for bed, but really it is.

Adam Pogue

I love Adam’s patchwork pieces sold by Commune, in Los Angeles; he weaves punchy pieces inspired by Korean pojagi and otherworldly quilting techniques.

John Sohn

These pillows are the best napping companion I’ve had in a long time. They are available in antique quilt and persimmon chenille, and are even customizable. The perfect gift for all ages!

Beverly’s Home Collection

I have a sick obsession with XL bath towels in Europe when I travel in the summer, and I wanted to create a similar feeling for my own home. These washed-waffle linen towels come in oatmeal and natural white.

Colin King for Beni Rugs

I’m typically minimal when it comes to rugs. I tend to skip them in my personal life. However, I think the Colin King for Beni Rugs collaboration offers a variety of well-balanced color tones that can give a room depth while also elevating objects in a room. They are handmade in Marrakech and 100 percent live wool.

Kvadrat

This Sahco fabric was my favorite thing I saw at Salone del Mobile Milan 2023. I had to get my hands on it. The fabric is made from dense recycled polyester; Saji reimagines a petite archival Jacquard. I’m very excited to upholster pillows and chairs in this fabric, and perhaps even curtains! The colors are muted and modern, but the floral print makes it romantic while remaining fresh.

Zn Ali

I love the brand Zn Ali. Their pieces are all made from hand-dyed and handwoven materials in Pakistan, and the fabrics have a great feel to them. The founder, Zain, recently took part in a show in Paris alongside artists Sophie Lou Jacobsen and Conie Vallese, where the entire room was wrapped in his blush-pink cotton, silk, and organza. All you wanted to do was touch and feel everything.

MM Design

For the home, I gravitate toward textile weaving by hand, or sourcing locally and organically, such as hemp and nettle rugs, especially from MM Design. They use vegetable fibers with natural dyes which give the rugs vibrancy.

Log House Craft Gallery

A few years ago I discovered Berea College’s Student Craft program. It’s a great project to support. Based in Kentucky, they preserve cultural heritage through the mastery of folk art, and all the items are made by the students, like these place mats.

Gohar World

Laila Gohar is a dear friend, and I have great respect for her highly intuitive eye. She even curated a show at Demisch Danant gallery last spring. I love what she and her sister, Nadia, do with Gohar World. Their pieces always add a layer of texture to tables through the smallest details. I recently got their cocktail napkins. The handwoven lace trimming around them provides that bit of uniqueness.

Grand Rug– Milano Green
Rowena Sartin Scented Memory Pillow

Iko Iko

We love anything that ignites all the senses. Something that is delicate to touch, beautiful to look at, and scented—like this pillow by Iko Iko. We love the layering of the textiles and how its subtle beauty can immediately bring joy to any space.

Nordic Knots

Nordic Knots is one of our favorite collaborators. We have worked with them extensively for our projects and shot their Park collection in our studio, No. 43, in London. Their entire collection is so well made, so chic, and so well priced. This Walnut rug from the grand collection is so cozy and immediately grounding.

Rafael Prieto

These beautiful stools by our dear friend Rafael Prieto are just incredible. They are artfully upholstered in carefully sourced archive textiles. Each is one of a kind due to the rare fabric, carefully chosen by Rafael, and the unique handmade glass buttons.

Oliveira Novelli

We love a beautifully crafted tassel. For a window treatment, a cushion trim, or hanging on the key of a beautiful antique piece of furniture. Our favorites are by Oliveira Novelli. Handcrafted with the romance of tradition, they are our go-to.

Cecilie Bahnsen

We adore Cecilie Bahnsen. This pillow is such a unique shape and so indicative of her textural style, perfect to make your bed composition fun, chic, and cozy.

Vendure Tapestry

A cashmere blanket is such an essential in these colder months, and Saved NY is always excellent quality.
