This old-school Milanese trattoria is our favorite restaurant in the city. It’s “a real trattoria of old Milanese Neo-realism,” as Paolina’s dad once put it, which feels “just like a Visconti movie.” Their menu—a handwritten photocopy in a plastic sleeve—changes daily. We recommend the classics: ossobuco alla milanese and cotoletta alla milanese. —Julian Taffel and Paolina Leccese
