Campari’s flagship in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, just opposite the Duomo, is an institution. The cocktails are some of the city’s best (the bar has been listed on the 50 Best Cocktail Bars list for years now). Most tourists don’t go past the standing bar area downstairs, so it may look packed, but if you ask the manager, they will almost always give you a seat on one of the upper floors. The decor is sparse and modern, but if you sit by a window you’ll have a perfect view of the gallery’s gilded ceilings. You can’t go wrong with a Milano Torino here, which pairs Campari with sweet vermouth and club soda. Alternatively, just stick to the classic Negroni. —Elena Clavarino
