The Arts Intel Report

Works by Kabelác, Dvořák, Berlioz, and Bartók

Dec 12–14, 2019
Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße 1, 10785 Berlin, Germany

For a maestro on the rise, the one higher honor than an invitation to lead the Berlin Philharmonic is an invitation to come back. Having made his debut with the orchestra last year, Jakub Hrůša, from the Czech Republic, returns with lesser-known music of his compatriots Antonín Dvořák and Miroslav Kabelác, plus favorites by Berlioz (Cléopâtre) and Bartók (The Miraculous Mandarin). —M.G.
