Oct 21, 2021 – Jan 30, 2022
410 W 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036, United States

Hundred Acre Wood is coming to New York City. A musical adaptation of the beloved book turned animated film turned television show brings the animals of this fictional forest to the stage—not as actors but as larger-than-life-size puppets covered in fur, fluff, and feathers. Told from the perspective of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends—Eeyore, Tiger, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, and Roo—the characters embark on a new adventure with their human companion Christopher Robbins. Jake Bazel, who has done voice work for Sesame Street, is the voice of Pooh Bear, and several actors from The Very Hungry Caterpillar musical give voice to his buddies. The show features many of the original songs written by Robert and Richard Sherman for the 1977 musical film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, plus short “hums” written by A. A. Milne, the man who created Winnie-the-Pooh in 1926. —J.D.
