You might know William Klein as a photographer—and he’s a great one. But he is also a filmmaker. Often left out of discussions of French New Wave cinema, Klein’s films are masterworks, unmistakable documents of the intensely creative Parisian 60s. Look no further than his Who Are You, Polly Magoo, an iconic fashion film in which a model tells her story to a television crew. Klein’s films will be shown for four days at the Anthology Film Archives, in tandem with a retrospective of his work that opens at the International Center of Photography. The first night includes an introduction by David Campany, curator of the I.C.P. exhibition. —Sophie Kemp
