Condé Nast publishes different editions of Vogue all over the world, though most people would say that the edition produced in New York City is the most important. It’s certainly the oldest, and its editor in chief, Anna Wintour, wields her clout without hesitation. But things made in Paris—whether they’re the etoiles of the Paris Opera Ballet or an Hermès Birkin bag—are a law onto themselves. And so is Vogue Paris, which turned 100 in 2020. Joan Juliet Buck, Carine Roitfeld, and Emmanuelle Alt are only the most recent cycle of names at the top of the masthead. With 400 items on display, this exhibition celebrates a century of Condé Nast creativity in the capital of fashion. —L.J.
