At 24, Monica Lewinsky became a household name. As she put it a few years later while declining an autograph request, “I’m kind of known for something that’s not so great to be known for.” Twenty-seven years on, Lewinsky, now 51, is channeling that early experience of infamy into a new podcast, one that has her talking with actors, activists, and internet personalities about how they faced their own adversities. One of the guests, Molly Ringwald, discusses what it was like growing up in the spotlight. Another, the Traitors host Alan Cumming, shares how he survived an abusive household. Says Lewinsky, “People will be able to trust that if anybody is going to be a safe space to have a conversation about vulnerable moments, I’m going to be that safe harbor.” —Paulina Prosnitz
