M: Son of the Century, a fiery new series based on Antonio Scurati’s tetralogy of fictionalized Mussolini biographies, has sparked intense debate across Italy. Luca Marinelli brings a powerful darkness to the role of Mussolini, and the show itself is visually stunning, sharply written (though some of its wit may be lost in translation), and gripping.
