On December 16, 1981, Linda Mae Craig was found dead in a parking lot in Southern Pennsylvania. Days later, while in custody for a minor offense, Nicholas Yarris became the case’s prime suspect. In 1982, Yarris was sentenced to death for murder, rape, and abduction. 21 years later, he was proven innocent and released from prison. Lindsey Ferrentino’s new play, based on the 2015 documentary The Fear of 13, tells Yarris’s story. The elegant Adrien Brody stars and Justin Martin, known for his work on the Tony Award–winning play Prima Facie, directs. —Jeanne Malle
