One summer, the actress Chiara Mastroianni, daughter of the Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni and French actress Catherine Deneuve, decides to become her father. Aided by her uncanny resemblance to him, Chiara changes her clothes, accent, and mannerisms, eventually convincing those around her that she is, in fact, Marcello. Shenanigans ensue. Directed by Chrostopher Honoré, and featuring Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Garcia, and Fabrice Luchini as themselves, Marcello Mio is a whimsical, indulgent, and delightful comedy. —Paulina Prosnitz
