Lin Manuel Miranda is now offering the whole world “the best seat in the house” for Hamilton. The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical was set for a cinematic release in 2021 but Disney+ is now releasing a full-length recording directed by Thomas Kail—the Tony winner who was behind the off-Broadway and first Broadway performances—on its platform July 3. Based on film performances shot at the Richard Rodgers Theatre back in 2016, the entire original cast will be on hand to tell the tumultuous tale of Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s Founding Fathers. —B.A.
