Chiostri di Sant’Eustorgio, Piazza Sant’Eustorgio 3, 20123 Milano

To honor the rebirth of Jesus, Easter traditions in Italy are festive and grand. This year, the Vatican loans masterpieces to the Chiostri di Sant’Eustorgio, in Milan, all by French Impressionists (among them Gauguin, Rouault, Chagall, and Matisse)—and all of them dedicated to or inspired by the Passion of Jesus. —E.C.
