“You cannot possibly invent painting all by yourself,” said the French Post-Impressionist Pierre Bonnard, who lived from 1867 to 1947. Drawing from one of the world’s most prestigious private collections, this exhibition of over 40 works focuses on the ways in which different art epochs and styles drew from each other, ranging from 1870s Pre-Impressionism to 1950s Modernism.
