Luxembourg + Co. has organized an exhibition in which the Swiss pop artist Sylvie Fleury meets the French fauvist Henri Matisse. “Drawing on Matisse” presents a large body of original drawings and cutouts from Matisse’s estate, some of which have never been shown to the public. The exhibition also features sculptures and wall-mounted works by Fleury. We love how Matisse’s Motif d’Algue—a dark form floating in rich blues, organic movement captured in an abstract style—interacts with Fleury’s indigo mannequin leg and silver skirt.
