Before founding Collectible in 2018, Liv Vaisberg and Clélie Debehault were frustrated by the lack of platforms promoting and celebrating 21st-century design. Little did they know that their Brussels-based fair, dedicated exclusively to contemporary collectible pieces, would expand to the U.S. in less than a decade. This fall, under the direction of Emily Marant, who founded Le Studio Marant in 2010, Collectible makes its New York debut, showcasing works by more than 100 American and European exhibitors. “Collectible isn’t your typical design fair,” says Marant. “It’s a hub for design professionals from all horizons to connect, discover, and inspire each other.” The Water Street Project’s building in Tribeca is hosting the fair, which features high-end pieces, outdoor furniture, works from emerging galleries and collectives, futuristic creations, and items that highlight the frequent collaborations between fashion and design. —Jeanne Malle
