When it comes to space, what is finite? What is infinite? And where does the human body fit in? These are some of the questions that the British sculptor Antony Gormley continues to explore. “Sculpture is no longer a medium of memorial and idealization but a context in which human being can be examined,” says Gormley. “Sculpture is no longer representational: it is an instrument of investigation and questioning.” This exhibition looks at 40 years of Gormley’s exploration into the body as a site of transformation. —Elena Clavarino
