Sex and the City, the series that made Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) one of the longest on-again-off-again couples on television, received a re-boot last year. The new series, And Just Like That …, began on a somber note: Mr. Big died during a workout, dismaying longtime fans and Peloton enthusiasts alike. For those who powered on through Season One’s remaining nine episodes, “fun” probably isn’t the first word that comes to mind. While the rest of the characters were “woking” up, Carrie was in mourning, adrift. Season Two, however, took a U-turn. Opening with a compilation of sex scenes, it implied that there would be no more funerals. Having found its rhythm, the show is funnier. And guess who’s just arrived on the scene, conveniently divorced? Hint: Give me an A. —Clara Molot
