Annie Doble designed her first collection at the age of six. By 16, she had set up a stand selling vintage clothes at London’s Spitalfields Market. Four years later, she opened Annie’s Ibiza, a small boutique in the Spanish island’s Old Town.

From the start, Annie handpicked one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrated Ibiza’s hedonistic spirit—short skirts and sequins are often on the racks. It’s a winning approach: she has since gone on to co-design pieces for the store with Conner Ives, Clio Peppiatt, Richard Quinn, and others. And she’s got fans: everyone from Kate Moss to Margot Robbie to Zendaya has worn her pieces. In 2020, Annie opened a second store, on London’s Carnaby Street, and a few months ago, another in New York’s SoHo.

Here, the designer shares her go-to spots on the island where it all began.

Prawns served at La Oliva, in Ibiza.

La Oliva

My favorite restaurant is La Oliva, right by my house and the shop. It feels like dining in my own front garden! It’s also where I meet friends; in fact, the owner is one of my oldest friends on the island. (laolivaibiza.com)

Chiringuito Cala Xuclar

For a more relaxed dinner vibe, I love Cala Xuclar, in the north. It’s a tiny beachside spot set right on the sand, with just a handful of tables. They serve some of the best, freshest seafood on the island. It’s the perfect place to unwind. (instagram.com)

The interior of Croissant Show.

Croissant Show

My go-to cafe is Croissant Show in Dalt Villa. I love going early in the morning, when the old town is still quiet, and the streets are just waking up. Grabbing a fresh croissant and a coffee there is the perfect way to start the day. (croissant.show)

Porta Official Ibiza

A great shop. I love strolling through the Old Town at sunset and popping in. I never leave empty-handed—there’s always something special to add to my summer wardrobe. (portaofficial.com)

Outside the Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art.

Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art

My favorite museum to visit. It’s tucked away behind the little shops and cafés in Dalt Vila, making it a special stop when exploring the Old Town. I’m obsessed with the Roman ruins! (spain.info)

Bohemian boat charters

I love to hire an old fishing boat from Benirrás Beach. It’s become my Sunday ritual. We drift around the northern calas (coves), past rugged cliffs, and through water so clear it feels like another world entirely, far from the business of the south. (bohemianboatcharters.com)

A bird’s-eye view of Cala Xarraca.

CALA XARRACA

Cala Xarraca, in the north, is a great diving spot. There’s a beautiful reef I’ve been visiting for 15 years, and it still feels just as magical every time. On days off, my sister and I love heading there for a dive. The water is crystal clear, surrounded by red cliffs and pine trees. It’s one of those places that always feels peaceful and untouched.

Formentera

My favorite day activity is hopping on the ferry to Formentera. When I’m there, I love grabbing lunch at Juan y Andrea or Kiosko Pirata, which are both right on the beach.
