Jean Lowe builds rooms of her own, creating massive installations that poke fun at themselves. Interested in ideas of abundance and sensory overload, Lowe packs her rooms with art made from household craft media like papier-mâché. She builds her own furniture and decorates the spaces with objects like rugs and pianos. “Your Place in the Multiverse” is a survey of 20 years of Lowe’s work, but it also includes her newest creations. —Clara Molot
