Your Honor

An accidental death lies at the heart of Your Honor. A teenage boy, driving down a New Orleans street, has an asthma attack and reaches for his fallen inhaler—in that instant, his car strikes a motorcycle, killing its driver, a boy his own age. Adapted from the Israeli series Kvodo, Showtime’s Your Honor—which premiered this month—explores justice, empathy, and familial bonds in the aftermath of the accident. The fabulous Bryan Cranston plays the surviving boy’s father, a prominent judge who is forced to reexamine his strict sense of right and wrong when he learns the slain motorcyclist is the son of the city’s most vengeful and violent mob boss. —C.J.F.
