Upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September, a nation, a family, two corgis, and one very cute dorgi were all left in mourning. Many people took to the internet to ask questions about the fate of the late queen’s beloved dogs, who were now without their mistress. It was announced that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson would take Muick and Sandy, although it’s not yet known who will take the dorgi. A new exhibition at the Wallace Collection celebrates Elizabeth’s special bond with her many corgis over the years. Each decade of her life will be marked by a single photograph that captures the queen and her love of the breed. —Clara Molot
