The name Alexis Gregory may not resonate with the general public, but any seasoned architect, interior designer, or collector will know of Gregory and Vendome Press, the highly respected art-book publishing company he founded in 1980. Gregory, who died in 2020, amassed a distinguished art collection over decades, one that included furniture and decor from the courts of 16th- to 18th-century Europe. This exhibition presents 28 of these fine and decorative works of art, including a large gilt-bronze figure of Louis XIV, 15 Limoges enamels, and two 18th-century clocks. —Elena Clavarino
