The Grand Scheme: Snatching Sinatra

The idea for this podcast came about when Dean Torrence, of the rock duo Jan and Dean, said to John Stamos (Full House, ER), “Well, I got this story. My best friend kidnapped Frank Sinatra Jr.” Hosted and narrated by Stamos over 10 episodes, The Grand Scheme is the bizarre account of Barry Keenan’s botched abduction, in 1963, of Sinatra’s son with first wife Nancy Barbarato. Keenan, now 81, reveals the thinking behind the crime, and what it was like to be on the run with the 19-year-old. Coincidentally, dad’s “Strangers in the Night” started playing in the getaway car. —J.V.
