The Charterhouse of Bruges, a historic monastery patronized by dukes and noblemen, was home to Jan Vos, charterhouse prior and Carthusian monk. Artwork was important to Vos, and he filled the monastery with a rich selection, choosing Petrus Christus and the world-respected Jan van Eyck as leading artists. In an unprecendented virtual exhibition, these works will be on display, including two of Van Eyck’s monumental pieces.—E.C.
