Frank Gehry, who died in 2025 at the age of 96, was a sculptor who worked in the discipline of architecture. One thinks of the crumpled chain-link of his Santa Monica house, the titanium curves of Guggenheim Bilbao, the billowing sails of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The Serralves Foundation in Porto, which has a particular connection to Gehry through his friendship with Álvaro Siza and their collaboration on the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, is now marking his centenary with an exhibition.
