Composed during the summer of 1919, poorly premiered (due to lack of rehearsal) in October of that year, Elgar’s Cello Concerto finally became popular when Jacqueline du Pré performed it in the 1960s. Here, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016, plays the Elgar. Kanneh-Mason is the artist everyone fell in love with at Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
