The author and filmmaker Liz Goldwyn has become quite the expert on sex. Her hit podcast, The Sex Ed, has her sitting down with porn-industry leaders, fashion designers, and clinical sexologists to analyze everything from kinks to fetishes to health scares. She famously asked Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele about his erotic relationship with nature. It seems only fitting that Goldwyn would gather her knowledge into book form—Sex Health, and Consciousness—which breaks down taboos, looks frankly at the link between pleasure and health, and compiles personal stories of Hollywood, love, and divorce. On February 23, at 6:30 P.M., Goldwyn will be at the 92nd Street Y to discuss her inspiration for the project. Tickets from $30. Alternatively, tune in from home for $25. —Elena Clavarino
