Though the museum itself is temporarily closed, its virtual doors are open, allowing visitors to browse seven millennia of art from around the world. Summer Art Adventures will keep children of ages 6 to 11 engaged with at-home art projects, drawing kits, and workshops. Parents can enjoy online studio visits with artists and tea time with curators. For escapist dreaming visit the collection’s Jewelry section, which includes hundreds of magnificent creations—a pair of breathtaking gold bracelets that date to the 1st century B.C., for example, or for fans of Jasperware, a blue Wedgwood medallion two inches in diameter, featuring Apollo ringed within the zodiac. —E.C.
