NOMAD’s annual winter show places world-class art and design in beautiful settings. Its fifth edition sees a return to Chesa Planta, a 16th-century chalet nestled among the Engadin mountains, in the quaint Swiss village of Samedan. Conceived by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, NOMAD first took place at Villa La Vigie in Monaco, Karl Lagerfeld’s former home, and later expanded to Venice, Cannes, and Saint-Moritz. Instead of gatherings in cold convention centers, NOMAD chooses something cozier—historical spots that resemble homes. Participating galleries include Vito Schnabel, Tristan Hoare Gallery, and London’s David Gill Gallery. Special projects involve the likes of Fornasetti, Dior Maison, and many others. —Elena Clavarino
