Nairy Baghramian grew up in Iraq, but left for Germany in 1984, where she’s lived for almost 40 years. Ever since the move, Baghramian has produced sculpture, photographs, and drawings that explore the human body, especially women’s bodies. Her plasters often resemble limbs—or a protuberance, a cavity, a prosthetic—shapes that highlight our innate vulnerability. In her first Dallas exhibition since winning the Nasher Prize, Baghramian’s recent work is on view. —Elena Clavarino
