Michael Raedecker creates spooky monochrome landscapes littered with abandoned treehouses, pools, and parking lots—spaces where humans once were and are no longer. The London-based artist experiments with medium. He laser prints sketches onto a canvas, lays in paint, then with needle and thread embroiders another dimension into the work. Sometimes, Raedecker adds glitter and beading. His exhibition at Grimm Gallery explores the way we experience dreams and memories, playing with ideas of time, loss, and domesticity. —Clara Molot
