There’s a feeling of ontogenesis gone rogue in the work of Louise Bourgeois, of interbred forms, often frightening—especially in her work in marble, little of which has been seen in the United States. Several of the artist’s marble sculptures, one of them weighing 15 tons, are now on view at MASS MoCA, in a gallery specially constructed to bear the weight. —L.J.
