When the Royal Albert Hall first launched Nashville Meets London in 2016, its aim was to create a music festival that would introduce the U.K. to one of America’s most storied genres. But the annual event has since grown into an international brand that is committed to supporting Country musicians from the States and across the pond through joint-recordings and, more importantly, live concerts. The genre, through its folk roots, has always shown love for the ephemerality of in-person, improvised performance, but because such gatherings are currently banned Nashville will meet London through Zoom this year. The stellar lineup is led by Tennessee’s Cadillac Three, known for the rowdy atmosphere of its shows, and the considerably softer singer-songwriter from Yorkshire, Twinnie. —C.J.F.
