K11 Original Masters

Oct 14 – Nov 14, 2020
Victoria Dockside, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

A year ago Adrian Cheng opened a futuristic space in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor and called it K11 Musea. A fusion of design, art, culture, and retail, the Musea reflects the mission of its founder: to bring centuries-old traditions of craftsmanship into today’s digital era. To this end, a webinar now launching in Paris, Hong Kong, and New York, available on all K11 channels, sees Cheng in discussion with Carine Roitfeld—formerly the editor of Paris Vogue, currently the editor of CR Fashion Book—and Christelle Kocher, the artistic director of Maison Lemarié, Chanel Métier d’art. The unique backgrounds of these three—spanning Cheng’s knowledge of Asian artistry to Roitfeld and Kocher’s experience with the Paris couture—make for a compelling conversation about the influence and importance of savoir-faire in our speed-hungry world. —J.V.

Following the live conversation at 6 A.M. E.T. on October 14, the webinar’s first episode will be accessible on K11’s Instagram page.
