If Jordi Savall could explore any time period of music it would be Ancient Greece. “We know so much about their art, literature, and sculpture,” he told The Guardian in 2016, “but so little about what they were doing with music.” Yet Savall would also love to work with Bobby McFerrin. This wide-ranging, deep-going champion of early music brings an ensemble of period instruments to Orchestra Hall, and a yet-to-be-selected program of Baroque music from the Iberian Peninsula. —L.J.
