It would be an understatement to say that the late fashion photographer Helmut Newton, known as “the King of Kink,” was provocative. As Newton once said, “If a photographer says he is not a voyeur, he is an idiot.” Vogue editor Anna Wintour said that his photographs were “synonymous with Vogue at its most glamorous and mythic.” In an Instagram exhibition dedicated to the intrepid photographer, a tour of the gallery is available, along with reflections from Simon de Pury—the artistic director of Newlands House—and Newton’s friends. —E.C.
