Does what we buy define us? In a series of new works, Grayson Perry comments—from a sociological perspective—on the complex interplay of art, money, power, and desire. The works’ titles give us riddles to play with, and the works themselves—ceramic vessels laden with designer logos, lamps imprinted with names of tax havens, large-scale prints, a tapestry that is a map of London—encourage viewers to stop for a second, and reflect on the way vanity sidles up to art. —E.C.
