Five-hundred years ago, Albrecht Dürer took a trip through the Rhineland and the Netherlands, making journal entries along the way. In October 1520, he attended the coronation of Charles V, in Aachen, and in 1521 he visited again. In an exhibition that pieces together these journeys, 90 masterpieces by Dürer are displayed along with works by his contemporaries—among them Jan Gossart, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Hans Holbein the Younger, and Jan Brueghel the Elder. —E.C.
