It’s the first solo show to span both the Main Gallery Space and the Fire Building, combined with an outdoor work on the Pelican housing estate, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that Danh Vō’s show plumbs the theme of “plurality.” But does the word point to the breadth of the space or a breadth of influences? Vō employs others—friends, lovers, technicians, and family—to assist his creative process. And he takes inspiration from the work of the Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi, a pioneer of hybridity. The result sees personal objects enmeshed with archival fragments. —E.C.
