Created in 1999 by the D.J. Jason Swinscoe, The Cinematic Orchestra fuses jazz, classical, and cutting-edge electronica for powerful performances that have sold out at Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House. Contemporary and ever-evolving, the collective often expands to a 12-piece band for live shows, becoming an epic ensemble of avant-garde sound. Though an in-person show is not possible this year, the group is holding its first-ever streamed performance at Royal Festival Hall. The lineup includes tracks from the new album To Believe, which The Guardian praised as “heartbreakingly brilliant.” —E.C.
