A library stocked only with films starring Marlon Brando could engage a cinephile for weeks. A Streetcar Named Desire? On the Waterfront? The Godfather? Apocalypse Now? Whether it was due to his devotion to method acting, his brooding boyishness early in life, or the imposing figure he cut later on, it’s a simple fact that when Brando was on-screen sparks would soon fly. The actor died in 2004, at 80.
