Adrianne Lenker, the frontwoman of Big Thief, writes songs as big as the sky. One moment, she’s singing about the time she split her head open as a child, the next she’s finding ways to rhyme “finish,” with “potato knish.” Her band’s latest record, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, is expansive, covering 20 songs in 80 minutes.
