Pino Rabolini, founder of the luxury jewelry house Pomellato, was born into a family of goldsmiths. In the mid–1960s, while hanging out with artist and performer friends at Bar Jamaica, in Milan’s Brera district, he had an idea: What if he created ready-to-wear jewelry that women could wear more casually? He launched the brand in 1967, and it has since become a global sensation. This exhibition celebrates nearly five decades of Pomellato’s craftsmanship and creativity, showcasing 100 jewels as well as campaign shoots by talents ranging from Michael Comte to Lord Snowdon to Gian Paolo Barbieri. —Elena Clavarino
