It’s hard for those of us south of the Arctic Circle to think of the igloo as something more than a snow-globe fantasy. But for millennia, Arctic populations in the icy north have called them home. An exhibition exploring the nearly 30,000-year history of Indigenous Peoples in the Arctic—artifacts range from mammoth jewelry to snow mobiles—comes at a time when climate change fundamentally threatens their way of life. —J.V.
