The Young Hare. The Little Owl. You can almost hear their beating hearts. Both images are signed with a large A housing a little D—Albrecht Dürer. Since the artist’s death in 1528, nearly 140 of his works have been treasured holdings at the Albertina. With international loans supplementing its collection, the Albertina presents work drawn, printed, and painted by Dürer—including his beloved studies of animals. —J.V.
